Been a bit of a green week…

Swatching for the yomper pattern
Back in December I posted an almost-finished hat. Well, it and the pattern are now complete. The recipient loves it and you can buy the pattern for just £1 here if you’d like!

I’m rather pleased with it!
Charting up the yomper for conversion, reworking, sizing and then publication. This may well take as long as the original jumper!!
My break at work today - Mute Math and an almost-finished hat…
Hand dyed and spun alpaca - worsted - chunky weight. 87 yards.
This is destined for some pretty stranding with some cream rowan wool. A hat maybe?
Cushions on Flickr.
Today it’s dark and raining and I’m still ill. So I’ve started making the huge pile of cushions needed for the new flat.
This jumper belonged to one of my favourite friends. He bought it at a sample sale but then decided to machine wash it… it’s now the weirdest shaped jumper I’ve ever seen. After some amusing times trying it on (it made us look like turtles with tiny little heads) we decided it should have a new life and I would make us both cushions from it.

But now, as I sit with scissors in my hands preparing to cut… it’s really hard! It’s so beautiful and the detail is amazing… I feel like I’m destroying a work of art. However I know they’ll be beautiful when they’re done.

So I’m hoping that very soon I’ll be able to post him off a lovely parcel to warm up his room…some people make friendship bracelets… I make friendship cushions!

The pattern for my shallow shawl is now up as a free download on Ravelry and you can get it here. I’ve been overwhelmed at the number of initial downloads - now just hoping people make it! :)
